MOUNTSMY builds generative AI and LLM applications from Ahmedabad, India: retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) over your documents, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, multi-modal apps and the evaluation and guardrails that make them safe to run. We work with GPT, Claude, Gemini and open-source models, and the data stays in your own cloud accounts.

From a generic chatbot to answers grounded in your data

The difference between a demo and a tool people trust is what the model is allowed to say, and where it gets its facts.

The reality

Six reasons LLM projects stall

Most pilots impress in a demo and then struggle in production. These are the usual causes.

01

Generic answers

The model knows the internet, not your business, so answers are vague.

What we doConnect it to your documents and systems with retrieval, so answers use your facts.
02

Made-up facts

The model sounds sure and is sometimes wrong.

What we doGround answers in retrieved sources, show citations and test against known questions.
03

Data privacy worries

Nobody wants company data sent to an unknown service.

What we doRun in your own cloud accounts, with access rules and, where needed, private or open-source models.
04

Prompts nobody can maintain

A pile of ad hoc prompts that break when anything changes.

What we doVersioned prompts, test sets and an evaluation run on every change.
05

Unpredictable cost

Usage grows and so does the bill.

What we doPick the right model size per task, cache what repeats and set budgets and alerts.
06

A pilot that never ships

It works on a laptop, and nobody owns the path to production.

What we doPlan deployment, monitoring and ownership from the first week.
What you gain

What a well-built LLM application changes

The benefits depend on the use case, so we agree how to measure them before we build.

Answers in seconds

Staff and customers find what is in your documents without reading all of it.

Less repetitive work

Drafting, summarising and sorting handled by the model, with a person approving.

Control over your data

Your information stays in your accounts, under your access rules.

Answers you can verify

Sources shown with each answer, so people can check.

Cost you can predict

Right-sized models, caching and budgets from the start.

A path to production

Evaluation, deployment and monitoring planned from day one.

Choosing a technique

Prompting, RAG or fine-tuning?

Most projects start with the simplest option that works and move up only when needed.

TechniqueWhat it doesOften used when
Prompt engineeringGives the model clear instructions and examplesThe task is general and needs no private knowledge
RAG (retrieval-augmented generation)Looks up relevant passages from your data and gives them to the modelAnswers must come from your documents and stay up to date
Fine-tuningTrains a model further on your examplesYou need a specific style, format or behaviour that prompts cannot give
Agents and toolsLets the model call your systems to take actionsThe job involves doing things, not just answering
What we cover

Five areas of generative AI work

We use the models and platforms that fit your data and budget.

RAG pipelines

Make your documents and data searchable by a language model.

  • Document ingestion and chunking
  • Embeddings and a vector index
  • Retrieval tuned on your real questions
  • Citations shown with every answer

How we work

Five stages from idea to production

We prove value on a small slice first, then widen.

  1. 1

    Discover

Agree the problem, the users and how success is measured.

    What happens
    • Review use cases and data
    • Check feasibility and risks
    • Define the success measures
    You get
    • A short feasibility note
    • A scoped plan
    • A fixed-scope quote
    Your part

    Share example questions and documents.

    Safety net

No build starts until you approve the plan.

  2. 2

    Prepare the data

Get your documents and data ready for the model.

    What happens
    • Collect and clean content
    • Set access rules
    • Build the index
    You get
    • A searchable knowledge base
    • Access rules
    • A quality check
    Your part

    Confirm which sources are allowed.

    Safety net

Sensitive content is excluded unless you approve it.

  3. 3

    Build

Assemble the pipeline and the first version of the app.

    What happens
    • Retrieval and prompts
    • The app or API
    • Logging and a test set
    You get
    • A working first version
    • A test set
    • A demo
    Your part

    Try it and give feedback.

    Safety net

Built in your accounts, with your data only.

  4. 4

    Evaluate

Measure quality before real users see it.

    What happens
    • Run the test set
    • Check accuracy and safety
    • Tune retrieval and prompts
    You get
    • An evaluation report
    • A list of known limits
    • Guardrails in place
    Your part

Review the results and agree the launch bar.

    Safety net

A release goes out only when it meets the bar you agreed.

  5. 5

    Deploy and monitor

Release it and keep it healthy.

    What happens
    • Deploy with rollback
    • Monitor quality and cost
    • Review and improve each month
    You get
    • A live system
    • Dashboards
    • A monthly report
    Your part

Keep it yourselves, or keep us on monthly support.

    Safety net

You own the code, prompts and accounts.

What can go wrong

Six LLM risks, and how we prevent them

Language models fail in predictable ways. We plan for each.

Made-up answersGround answers in retrieved sources, show citations and test on known questions.
Leaking private dataAccess rules on every source, and your own cloud accounts.
Prompt injectionInput checks, limited tools and output filters.
Quality that driftsEvaluation on every change and monitoring after release.

We start small, measure, and widen only when the numbers hold up.

Ways to work with us

Four ways to start

Most clients begin with a short discovery.

AI discovery

A short review of your use case and data, with a feasibility note and a written plan. Yours to keep.

Good for: Knowing what is realistic

Fixed-scope project

A clear scope, timeline and price for a defined piece of work.

Good for: A specific goal

Hourly

Fixes, audits and short tasks, billed by the hour.

Good for: Small or urgent jobs

Dedicated engineer or team

Part-time or full-time engineers working inside your tools, by the month.

FAQ

Generative AI and LLM development: common questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

Ask a question
What is generative AI development?

Building applications on models that generate text, images or code, such as GPT, Claude and Gemini, and connecting them to your data and systems so they are useful and safe.

What is RAG?

Retrieval-augmented generation. The system first looks up relevant passages in your own documents, then gives them to the model to answer from, so answers use your facts and can show their sources.

Do we need to fine-tune a model?

Often not. Prompting and RAG cover most needs. Fine-tuning helps when you need a specific style, format or behaviour that prompts cannot give.

Which model should we use?

It depends on quality needs, privacy and budget. We compare options on your own test questions and recommend one, including open-source models where privacy matters.

Is our data safe?

We build in your own cloud accounts with access rules on every source. Where needed, we use private or open-source models so data does not leave your control.

How do you stop the model making things up?

By grounding answers in retrieved sources, showing citations, testing on known questions and refusing out-of-scope requests. No system removes the risk entirely, so high-stakes answers keep a human in the loop.

How long does a first version take?

A focused first version can take a few weeks. The plan gives you a timeline before you commit.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the use case, the data and the model. There is no rate card: you get a written, itemised quote after a free call.

Can it work with our existing software?

Yes. We expose it through APIs or embed it in your product or workflow.

Who owns the result?

You do. The code, prompts, pipelines and accounts are yours.
