01Who we are

This website, mountsmy.com, is run by MOUNTSMY, a software engineering company based at Office No. 530, 5th Floor, Yash Arian, Bhuyangdev Society, Memnagar, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380052, India. For this policy, MOUNTSMY is the “data fiduciary” (the party that decides how your personal data is used). You can reach us at info@mountsmy.com.

02What we collect

We only collect what we need to reply to you and to understand how the site is used.

• Details you send us. When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, company (optional), the service you are interested in and your message. If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever you choose to share.
• Chat messages. If you use the chat assistant on the homepage, the messages you type are processed to answer you.
• Usage data. Google Analytics records how the site is used: pages viewed, time on page, approximate location (city/country), device and browser type, and how you arrived. It uses cookies and a pseudonymous identifier.
• Technical data. Like every website, our server and the services below receive your IP address and browser details when pages, fonts and images load.

We do not ask for, and do not want, sensitive data such as financial, health or government ID details through this website.

03How we use your data

• To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal or quote, and follow up on a project you asked about.
• To run, secure and improve the website, for example by seeing which pages are useful and fixing what is not.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations once you become a client.

04Why we are allowed to use it

We process personal data under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. When you send us a message, you give consent for us to use those details to respond. Analytics cookies are used on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (see “Cookies” below).

If you are in the EU or UK, our basis is your consent and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries and running our website.

05Services we use

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site. They process data on our behalf, and some are located outside India.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

06Cookies

The site uses Google Analytics cookies to measure visits, and small browser-storage entries for things like remembering that you have already seen the intro animation. We do not use advertising cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google’s browser add-on. The site keeps working without them.

07How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Client records (contracts, invoices, project correspondence): as long as the law requires, typically 8 years for tax and accounting records in India.
• Analytics data: kept for the retention period set in Google Analytics (14 months).

08How we protect it

The site is served over HTTPS, access to our inbox and tools is limited to the people who need it and protected with strong passwords and two-factor authentication where available. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your data we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

09Your rights

Under the DPDP Act (and, where they apply to you, the GDPR or UK GDPR) you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct, complete or update it;
• ask us to delete it, unless we must keep it by law;
• withdraw consent at any time, which stops future use but does not affect what was done before;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you are unable to;
• complain to us, and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India or your local data protection authority.

10Children

This website is meant for businesses and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

11International transfers

Some of the providers listed above store data outside India, for example in the United States. We only use established providers with their own security and privacy commitments, and we follow any transfer restrictions set by the Government of India.

12Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
